Alireza Minagar, MD, MBA, MS, is an AI/ML engineer, neuroscientist, and former Professor and Chairman of Neurology at LSU Health Sciences Center, where he founded Northwest Louisiana’s first Stroke Center and the LSUHSC Multiple Sclerosis Center. He is the author or editor of more than 20 academic textbooks and more than 290 peer-reviewed publications indexed in PubMed, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology. He holds an MS in Bioinformatics and an MS in Software Engineering from the University of Maryland Global Campus, where he now serves as Adjunct Professor of Software Engineering, and is AWS Certified in Machine Learning. His current work focuses on machine learning and deep learning applied to neurological disease, clinical decision support, and biomedical discovery.
